A world class act needs a strategy.

Over the years, I have noticed that the most frequent mistake made by talents is to think that it is enough to be at the top of your art form. This is a big mistake! Why ? Because to succeed you need the 3 basic elements of success : BUSINESS, ART, METHOD.

A world class act needs this strategy. BAM!

  1. BUSINESS: managing your Business
  2. ART: mastering your Art form
  3. METHOD: the Methodologies which are specific to this world

The best way to create a world class act.

In this article, I am going to give you a passage from an exceptional guide. This guide is called “THE KEYS TO A SUCCESSFUL SHOW” and if you are lucky enough to read it in full, it will make you save loads of time! This method has the power to change the destiny of your talent. It has worked for others, and it can work for you.

l

THE EMOTIONAL CURVE

Here is the universal rule, illustrated by “the emotional curve.” This curve represents the intensity of the emotions spectators experience as the show progresses. The steeper the curve, the more emotional impact your show has.

l

l

WHAT GOES INTO A SUCCESSFUL SHOW?

Creating emotion must be your objective and the rule. Why? Because spectators only remember things that move them, which happens through their emotions. A show’s true success is not measured by the artist’s technical performance, nor the number of tickets sold, nor even the amount of applause. Rather, the show’s success is directly related to the intensity of the emotions the spectators experience. I use the term “emotion” to describe all sorts of emotions, such as joy, fear, laughter, sadness, love, etc. A world class act must have this characteristic!

l

l

ALL YOUR EFFORTS MUST SERVE TO BUILD EMOTION.

Everything you do, all of your efforts, must serve to build emotion. Whether it’s your music, your scenography, your technical expertise, your character, etc., everything you do must contribute to producing the emotion or emotions you have chosen to convey.
